2017 Apr 26

Lauren Cram was one of 50 students from Susquehanna University who recently presented research at the 31st annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Memphis, Tenn.

Cram's research, titled "Examination of Microglial Morphology in a Mouse Model of Acute Ethanol Intoxication," was supervised by Sarah Cassella, post-doctoral teaching fellow at Susquehanna.

Established in 1987, the conference is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research and scholarship done in partnership with faculty or other mentors. Students experience firsthand the processes of scholarly exploration and discovery that characterize academic life.

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research promotes undergraduate research scholarship and creative activity done in partnership with faculty or other mentors as a vital component of higher education. The annual conference has become a national celebration of undergraduate scholarly activity involving all academic disciplines and all institutions of higher education.
