Eiswerth Learns Ins and Outs of European Union

2017 Nov 27

Travis Eiswerth participated in the annual Mid-Atlantic European Union Simulation held in Washington, D.C., from Nov. 9-11. Eiswerth was one of 22 students from Susquehanna University to attend the event.

Participating schools research their particular country's interests in the union in order to represent that country in the simulation. The simulation involves meetings of the European Union (EU) Council, two parliamentary committees and two Councils of Ministers. During the three days, students have the opportunity to visit the embassy of the country that they represented in the simulation.

The program is designed to engage students in discussions about topics currently debated by EU members. The Susquehanna team was accompanied by Associate Professor of Political Science Nicholas Clark.
