Richards Takes the Stage at Susquehanna University

Marquise Richards, of Reading, Pa. , performed in Susquehanna University's fall musical, Guys and Dolls, presented by the Department of Theatre Oct. 30-Nov 2.

Guys and Dolls is a romantic comedy based on the book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is a story of rolling the dice and falling in love under the lights of Broadway, following characters such as gamblers Nathan Detroit and Sky Materson, nightclub performer Adelaide and straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown.

The play ran for 1,200 performances since first opening on Broadway in 1950, and has earned numerous TONY, Drama Desk and Laurence Olivier awards.

Richards, a communications major in the Class of 2018, played the part of a crap shooter and cuban dancer.
