Sharer Inducted into Earth Sciences Honor Society

Michael Sharer, of Wyckoff, N.J., was inducted into the Sigma Gamma Epsilon honor society at Susquehanna University.

Sigma Gamma Epsilon (SGE) is the national honor society for the earth sciences. Membership is based on the scholastic and scientific advancement of its members; the extension of the relations of friendship and assistance between the university and scientific schools of the United States and Canada; and the advancement of the earth sciences. High scholarship and active interest in the pursuit of work in the earth sciences are fundamental requirements for membership. Susquehanna's chapter of this national honor society was formed in 2004.

Sharer is an earth and environmental sciences major at Susquehanna. A 2014 graduate of Ramapo High School, he is the son of Jeff and Barbara Sharer.
