Stein Presents Research at National Conference

Aviel Stein was one of 31 students from Susquehanna University who recently presented research at the 30th Annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research at Asheville, N.C.

Stein's research, titled "Challenging the Cognitive Capability to Connect the Dots - Recognition of Biological Motions with Point Light Display," was supervised by Toshiro Kubota, associate professor of mathematical sciences at Susquehanna.

Established in 1987, the conference is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research and scholarship done in partnership with faculty or other mentors. Students experience firsthand the processes of scholarly exploration and discovery that characterize academic life.

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research promotes undergraduate research scholarship and creative activity done in partnership with faculty or other mentors as a vital component of higher education. The annual conference has become a national celebration of undergraduate scholarly activity involving all academic disciplines and all institutions of higher education.
