Vivacqua Pursues Individualized Cross-Cultural Experience

Nicholas Vivacqua recently spent time in Oahu, Hawaii, for Susquehanna University's cross-cultural requirement.

Susquehanna is distinguished by its Global Opportunities (GO) program, which requires that all students spend at least two weeks off campus, immersed in a culture different from their own. The GO Your Own Way option allows students to fill this requirement through a self-designed program, or a study away, internship or service trip that is not offered through the university.

Vivacqua stayed with a local family on their organic farm. In his free time, he interacted with his host family and other locals to better understand Hawaiian culture.
